A lot has happened since the completion of my undergraduate education, on April 1 this year. (Ironic, isn’t it? Or is it?)
- I Finally finished, a year late, my basic professional education
- I spent some time at home having fun and recuperating from the mostly-nightmare that was med- school
- I Joined Sankeshwar mission hospital, as my service obligation or bond.
- I enjoyed a self imposed 30 days of no access to computers or internet, honestly, some of them were my best days ever.
- I became an avid watcher of the feathered kind of birds, have so far identified 12 species of birds in my campus, mostly from my windows.
- I gave in and brought my computer and got internet last week
- I crashed my windows (again) and forgot to get my windows installation disc from home
- I tried using Ubuntu live CD and it worked like a charm
- I tried to install Ubuntu, and ended up with my whole 160 GB Disk reformatted.
- I finally managed to install Ubuntu and thanks to my backups, reinstated about 60 percent of my last stuff. The other forty percent was probably not worth the space any way.
- I became, therefore, finally and happily a Linux convert, being saved from the great whore of Microsoft.
- I had an epiphany of sorts, about how messed up my life is and what I need to do to get back on my feet.
- I managed to de-clutter most of my internet use, my feed reader has 25 blogs now as opposed to 300.
- I managed to put up my first decent blog post in two months, the last one being the cartoon
Good Night Folks
ciao
