Life Update; 7 things you have been missing in life.

August 22nd, 2007 by Schizo · 4 Comments

  1. My blog hit 10,000 visitors on Tuesday, 21st of august, 2007. Yippee!!! I think I am gonna cry. Thank you loyal readers. I Promise that upon the establishment of my world order I shall hunt you down grant you your greatest desires.
  2. Instead of making tedious link posts I have instituted a link of the day widget in the sidebar, powered by del.icio.us.
  3. Sometime this week I will have to put up a meme because I asked the other veda to hit me.
  4. I finished reading Margret Atwoods’ The Robber Bride today. I have to call it a  masterpiece because of a very meager vocabulary. Never before have I read such a sagacious and darkly humorous look into the female psyche. She makes the recondite apparent. (Yep I used a dictionary for that)
  5. Serious fiction is when the words are as important, perhaps more, as the story. I came up with this while trying to explain to my senior why Atwood wasn’t like Sydney Sheldon.
  6. Serious fiction is when you don’t get it in the first reading. I came up with this right after typing the last point. It is spurred by some other stuff I have been reading. (As opposed to blatant plagiarism, I give credit when is due)
  7. Many good blog posts I thought up in recent past were buried  the  because I was possessed by the spirit of the infamous chief publishandmakemoneyomatix, but readers, breathe easy, I have self exorcised!! Integrity, honesty, and determination (NOT a lack of time and discipline to send gazillions of query  letters) have won!!!
  8. I have hopped on to the blog action day bandwagon and  plan to make some new banners, with permission of course.
  9. I still can’t count for nuts. Or maybe I have an unfathomably dark and profound sense of humor. Or not.
  10. The feed button is new. I love Purple.

Ciao

Interesting - I just found that P G Woodhose is serious fiction.

    > Feed this. Don’t you loev my puns?
Is that ‘loev’ a typo or a attempt at humor? It it is an attempt at humor, you have an unfathomable sense of humor.
