Most of our sins are ¨weaknesses¨, but those in others are abominations aren´t they?
Here are the ones I overlook the most, in myself of course and these are also the least talked about ones in church and the god-blogsphere.
Gluttony
“Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags.” (Proverbs 23:20-21)
He who keeps the law is a discerning son, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father.” (Proverbs 28:7)
When you sit to dine with a ruler, note well what is before you, and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.” (Proverbs 23:2)
Honestly, what is it? Lust for food? Not being Moderate? Or do we follow Aquinas´ classification?
Praepropere - eating too soon
Laute - eating too expensively
Nimis - eating too much
Ardenter - eating too eagerly
Studiose - eating too daintily
Gossip
How do I resist telling my pals what I just heard about one of his pals? damn. Those late night chatting sessions in hostel when we discussed who-was-seen-with-who-doing-what are part of our ¨getting to be socially aware¨ campaign, right?
Manipulation/Politics
Remember the careful maneuvering and calculated speeches for becoming the president of the youth group? Of course I did it only to glorify God because the opponent was a godless man. Didn’t I?
Sloth
Enough said. Yawn.
Legalism
Making and being dogmatic about plenty of rules, but forgetting the principles behind them.
Bonus Vice
Vanity/Pettiness
From the clothes I wear to the tone of speech that varies with different people, from the offence I take at non-issues and my whole hearted acceptence of whatever ¨others¨ say.
Add yours here.

there’s more than 5 listed in the post… i admit to gluttony, gossip and sloth. i’d add vanity, only that i’m not very pretty to begin with, so there’s isn’t much to be vain about, is there? lol.
i really can’t stand hypocrisy. that in itself can be considered hypocritical perhaps, because humans have double standards by nature (i think).

I agree sulz , there are so many, in fact we tend to ignore a large majority of sins, ours and others, its only the big ones that catch our attention.
humans are screwed up by nature:-)
