I don’t know if I am being totally crazy or normal but I actually jumped for this one when I saw it on micropersuation. “Get paid for blogging” it said, and as usual I should have thought “ya right, like that ever happens”. You see as any new and struggling blogger who wants to get rich quick and be famous I too have tried many a “get paid for blogging” schemes but most invariably need your blog to be already very well established and wants you to submit samples of your work etc. some even want you to join their blog before you can post reviews. Yet the great deceiver hope made me visit this site. Here goes the review
This is a paid review
What I liked
1. Design
The opening page is simple, no need to be tech savvy to understand which way to go, it has two huge balloons to guide you:

I am a blogger so I chose orange and was presented with a list of the jist of the site at the end of which I am invited to create an account and then through a neat form.

Then, I am in!! That fast.
2. No email verification
Don’t know if its an advantage or not, but it’s less trouble.
3. Simplicity
So now that I am in what do I do? I click on the very prominent 25000$$ give away in which I am told that to begin with I review reviewme. And so I am doing this.

4. Creating and Explaining Need
The Why? page (which uses green and orange balloons) tells you some of the problems the new and upcoming advertisers had and how reviewme solves them. The problems are real and the solutions offered appear solid. [If I actually get paid I will have to say that the solutions really work :-)]
What I didn’t like
1. Orange

It glares from the screen in many pages including the why? page and given me eye ache. Surely the mighty company can use some other non hurting colour, yes even dull orange hurts.
2.No Discrimination

The page after login does not differentiate between bloggers and advertisers, I am offended. in fact it goes as much as to put the blogger toolkit and advertiser toolkit and a blog topic box, that seemed useless to me, in the profile page. Sometimes discrimination reduces confusion so the advertisers tools can go.
What I would add to the site (If I owned it)
1. A forum
For users to fight collaborate and conspire.
2. Links to reviews
Eg. To the other reviews of the reviewme site, so that the new reviewer’s can avoid repetition and get a feel of the scene.
3. Rapid Monetary Notification
As soon as it is approved, instead of once a month.
In summaryThe site sells itself as reliable and open and productive. I bought it, and if I had something to sell, would use it.
That seems to be it, the post will be updated if anything new strikes me.
ciao
